We were asked by a local beekeeper to create a honey sorter. The main requirement was to keep the wax separate from the honey, removable dams for easy access, and a section underneath to house a small heating element.

First, we created 3D images for the client to review and make any adjustments:

For the build itself, each piece was laser cut and folded, and the sorter was fabricated from 316 stainless steel for ease of cleaning. The middle photo below shows the completed sorter, and the final image reveals the lower section where the heating element is housed.
